About your presenter:
David has already been delighting Classical Music lovers in the Bournemouth area for many years in his role as Principal Double Bass with the Bournemouth Symphony orchestra. Having joined the orchestra in 1985 he has played hundreds of concerts in the region in venues such as Bournemouth’s Pavilion Theatre, Poole Lighthouse and Christchurch Priory as well as wider afield, taking the name of Bournemouth across Europe, Hong Kong and the USA with the various international tours the orchestra has done over the years. David became a Christian in 1988 on study leave in the USA and attends ‘The Gathering Place’ Christian fellowship in Blandford, where he lives.

When David Daly is away or unavailable to broadcast David Smith of St.Paul's Church, Throop, Bournemouth very kindly takes the hot seat on his behalf.
David was born in the Isle of Wight and after moves to Maidstone and Hove, made his home in Parkstone. He attended Parkstone Baptist Church where he was baptised and where he started to learn the organ. He moved on to Winton United Reformed Church and St. Paul's C of E Throop where he served as organist. He is acting organist at All Saints Church, Thorney Hill, Bransgore. He has always had an interest in radio and always had a desire to be a classical music presenter. "Hope FM has provided me with an excellent opportunity to do this."
