Here's a statement from our Station Manager, Kevin Potter on the future of Hope FM Community Radio Station, Bournemouth:

"I am extremely pleased to announce that a wonderful group of new Trustees has been selected to take over Hope FM from 1st April 2015. The decision was made by the Board of Trustees for Bournemouth YMCA on Monday night after they had received various Expressions of Interest.

The new Trustees comprise respected leaders within the community, across a broad spectrum of disciplines including church pastors, businessmen, educationalists and broadcast professionals.

Going forward, Hope FM will continue to broadcast from the premises of the YMCA for a period of at least 6 months from April 1st. However, part of the exciting new plans for the station is to eventually find a high-traffic/ visibility shop front as its future home.

There are also plans to allow supporters of Hope FM more ‘ownership’ of the station and to continue to foster the growth of listenership which has seen exponential increase over the past 12 months.

Management would like to thank all of those who came forward with offers of assistance, expressions and letters of support and concerned advertisers, when Bournemouth YMCA announced that they would be looking for new owners to take over the station from April onwards."

Please consider supporting us by signing up to regularly give as little as £5 per month. Thank you so much in advance!
